When and how can I rent a storage container?
You can rent a container from us online at any time. After submitting your contact information, the data sent will be checked and you will receive a link to activate the online rental contract. In exceptional cases, this can only be done during our office hours, Monday to Friday from 09:00 am to 05:00 pm. After you have completed the activation, we will finalize the contract by sending you your individual access code to the site. This gives you quick and unbureaucratic access to your storage space.
Can I also rent open spaces or parking spaces from you in general?
No, unfortunately not.
Can I become a customer if I don’t have an e-mail address?
Yes, you can. We would send you the rental contract by post. We charge a handling fee of EUR 2.00 (plus VAT) per month for sending the monthly invoice by post.
How do I lock my Self Storage?
Under this link you will find a short video with instructions on how to easily open and close a storage container. The Self Storage unit must be locked with a padlock that you bring with you, whereby it must be ensured that the shackle thickness does not exceed a diameter of 10 mm.
If you do not have a padlock, you can purchase one from our vending machines in the “coffee house container” at our locations in Vienna Stadlau and Vienna Leopoldau at a price of EUR 14.50. We would like to point out that the vending machine in Vienna Leopoldau only accepts coins, the vending machine in Vienna Stadlau only accepts card payments.
Please note that there is no vending machine at our location in Graz-Seiersberg.
Is the inside of the storage room illuminated? Is a power connection available?
All our storage units have practical, motion-controlled interior lighting. The costs for this are already included in the rental price.
At our location in Vienna Leopoldau, we offer the option of using a coin-operated meter to draw electricity at several points on the premises. 10 minutes cost EUR 1.00.
We would like to point out that there are no coin-operated meters at our locations in Vienna Stadlau and Graz Seiersberg.
What is the best way to store my items?
Our tips for storage: Please take care not to overfill the container so that the air inside can circulate better. The side walls in particular should not be completely blocked: There must be several centimeters of clearance between the stored goods and the side wall. We also recommend regular ventilation to prevent condensation. To protect your stored items well, we recommend wrapping furniture or other delicate items.
Can I view a container beforehand?
Of course you can. Viewings are possible on weekdays (Monday-Friday) between 09:30 am and 04:30 pm. Please call us on +4315351944 when you are on site. We will open the entrance gate for you and direct you by telephone to a free container, which you can then view at your leisure.
How and when is the monthly rental fee charged?
For the remaining days in the month of the first rental, only the aliquot rental costs and the deposit will be debited from your account/credit card. Thereafter, the monthly rental fee for the current month is always invoiced and debited at the beginning of the month. You will receive a monthly invoice by e-mail.
Can I also pay by payment slip or in cash?
Payment is only possible by credit card or direct debit from a bank account in the EU.
When will I get my deposit back?
Once your container has been returned, our staff will check it for damage and cleanliness. The deposit will then be credited to your account within a few days. If we have debited the monthly rent to your credit card, you will need a bank account to return the deposit, as we cannot transfer deposits to credit cards.
What happens if the direct debit from my account/credit card does not work?
If for any reason there is a problem with the debit of the rental fee or the deposit, we will first try to contact you. We will charge you a reminder fee of EUR 10.00 plus VAT for this effort, as well as any bank charges incurred for the chargeback.
If the invoice is still not paid, we will have to block your access to the premises and then mechanically lock your storage room.
Can I change to a larger/smaller container?
Yes, this is generally possible, but please contact us in good time by the 15th of the month. The change is always possible at the end of the month.
Can I park my car/motorcycle in a container?
Yes, but for insurance reasons it is necessary to empty the fuel tank and disconnect the battery before parking. A container is less suitable as a garage for “normal” cars, but they are ideal for parking classic cars and motorcycles, for example.
What am I not allowed to store on your premises?
Explosive, flammable, corrosive radioactive and similar substances. Perishable goods, highly flammable materials, weapons, explosives or other explosive substances, narcotics, toxic waste, hazardous waste of any kind or hazardous materials, or materials that could harm third parties through emissions, as well as smuggled, stolen or stolen goods, living creatures.
What notice periods do I need to observe?
If you no longer need your storage container, you can always return it at the end of the month. To do this, you must inform us of this wish by the 15th of the month; e.g. you would have to inform us by April 15 to terminate the contract as of April 30.
What is the minimum rental period?
The minimum rental period is one full calendar month, regardless of the start of the rental period.
Can I drive onto the container site with a truck or articulated lorry?
Trucks with an overall length of more than 10 meters or trucks with trailers or articulated lorries are not permitted.
What are your opening hours?
Our customers have access to the site 365 days a year, between 06.00 am and 10.00 pm.
What do I do if I have forgotten the PIN for the electronic entrance gate?
We will be happy to send you the PIN code again during our office hours if you have forgotten it. In addition to entering and exiting with your PIN code, you also have the option of registering your license plate number(s) with us via our customer zone. The entrance and exit gate opens contactlessly as soon as your license plate is recognized by the camera.
How secure is my storage unit?
All our EASY STORAGE locations are protected by modern electronic access control systems. Every EASY STORAGE customer receives an individual electronic security code upon signing the contract, which allows access between 06.00 am and 10.00 pm. Video surveillance systems, alarm systems and security services ensure maximum security. You also have the option of insuring your stored goods against burglary, fire and storm at favorable conditions.
Does anyone else have access to my Self Storage unit?
No. You provide your own padlock with which you lock your Self Storage unit.
Can I buy drinks on site?
At our location in Vienna Stadlau you have the possibility to buy hot drinks in our “coffee house container”. The “coffee house container” is located at the end of the F-row, in the direction of Stadlauer Straße.
At our location in Vienna Leopoldau you have the possibility to buy hot drinks in our “coffee house container” to the left of the entrance, opposite the Z-row.
At our location in Graz Seiersberg there is currently no possibility to buy drinks.
Can you recommend a transportation service for my stored goods?
We have always had good experiences with the company “Extraumzug” *: www.extraumzug.at

Do you also have loading aids such as transport rollers that I can borrow to load my container?
EASY STORAGE does not currently provide any loading aids.
Ground-level containers can be accessed by car for easy loading and unloading.
What are the climatic conditions in the storage container?
All EASY STORAGE storage units are dry, ventilated and protected from view. However, the temperature in the storage container depends on the weather. We therefore do not recommend storing goods that are very susceptible to cold or heat.
Can it freeze in the storage room?
This is possible in extreme temperatures. But bear in mind that almost everything you store here is transported across the oceans in the same containers in any weather and at any time of year. Transportation to the store where you bought your goods is also carried out in unheated trucks!
Can my things get wet?
The storage rooms are completely waterproof.
Can I also have the contents of my storage container insured?
Yes, you can optionally insure the contents of your storage container against burglary, fire and storm damage. For low monthly premiums of between EUR 2.50 and EUR 10.00 (prices excl. VAT), we insure your stored goods worth up to EUR 20,000.00 at the best conditions with our renowned insurance partner. Simply select the right insurance option for you in the rental contract.
How do I provide the insurance company with proof of my stored items in the event of a claim?
It is generally advisable to keep a detailed list of your stored items and to take photos.
